«Museum and School» Project

Formation of aesthetic culture of personality has always been and will always remain of great importance. The foundation of aesthetic culture is aesthetic sense, special emotional sensitiveness to the beauty.

The personal ability to adequately perceive and correctly understand the beauty in art and in reality needs to be developed since very childhood.

One of the methods of formation of aesthetic culture of schoolchildren is visiting museums, since a museum is a place for storing, studying and exhibiting the items of nature, material and spiritual culture of humanity, as well as for exposing the visitors to the achievements of national and world historical and cultural heritage.

And our museum is not an exception in this respect. The proof of the fact that it is of interest and greatly contributes to formation of aesthetic culture of schoolchildren, are the numerous comments in the guest book of the museum. For example, the teachers of school No.100 of Zaporizhzhya and the thirty schoolchildren of the 2nd form visited the museum within the framework of the school program «Folk crafts of Ukraine» and left a comment in which, in particular, it is mentioned that «thed museum offered an opportunity for the children to be exposed to the history of ancestors and get acquainted with the works of art, history of ceramics, which are of a great educational value».

And this is just one example from many such examples. Only within the three months of the year 2011 over 300 schoolchildren from different schools of Ukraine have visited the museum.
