On March 9, 2011 on the occasion of the anniversary of a classic of Ukrainian literature, prominent master of brush, academician of engraving, well known public figure Т. G. Shevchenko, a meeting of schoolchildren of Zaporizhzhya schools with the artists of our city took place, which was organized by the founder and the author of the museum Valentina Ilyinichna Batalkina, maiden name, Burlai-Hiltmann.

The festival of children’s pictures «The House of My Dream» still goes on in the Museum-Gallery.
Meeting
Within the framework of cultural and educational activities on December 15, 2010 in the museum a meeting was held between the schoolchildren of the 6th form of school № 81 and the teacher of German Yuriy Aleksandrovich Rozhko. The schoolchildren were introduced to his book «German borrowings in Ukrainian language». The book caused large interest which resulted in a lively debate concerning study of history of languages and linguistics by schoolchildren.
On 28 November 2010, the concert named «From the ancient to the modern styles» took place here to esteem the work of Mykola Opanasovych Karmaz, a well-known Zaporizhyan artist, on the 70th anniversary of his proliferate activity in the field of the arts. The famous artist’s meeting with the young musicians and painters of our city was organized within the framework of the children's art festival «My dream house».
On November 28, 2010 in the Museum-Gallery within the framework of the festival «The House of My Dream» the creative meeting of young artists and musicians took place with Zaporozhs’ky artist Mykola Panasovych Karmaz’. The meeting was devoted to the 70-th anniversary of creative activity of the artist.
Mykola Panasovich Karmaz’ was born on February 15, 1927 in the village of Vosnesenivka (presently the city of Zaporizhzhya). He took a correspondence course in Moscow school named after N. Krups’ka. He works in the domain of easel painting and is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1970.
The House of My Dream
On September 18, 2010 in the Museum-Gallery the festival of children’s pictures «The House of my dream» was opened. Children from Ukraine, Russia and Germany took part in the opening of the festival. Young talents had the opportunity not only to exhibit their art works in the museum, but also to paint ceramic ware and take lessons in clay modelling.

On the 18 June 2010, at the opening of the exhibition «150 portraits in the art of O.Burlay», the students of Music school # 6 guided by the teachers E.I.Semenova and O.V.Rybalova played the music of famous composers. A.Poluliakh, Zaporizhya Music college student, enlightened the exhibition visitors on the history of classical music.
The 3rd thematic exhibition
An exhibition «Portraits to paintings of Alexei Petrovich Burlai» was opened on June 18, 2010. The exhibition was devoted to the 2nd anniversary of Zaporozhye Museum-Gallery of Applied Ceramics and Art Creativity of I. and A. Burlai.
To celebrate the opening of the exhibition a performance was given by the pupils of Zaporozhye children’s musical school No.6 Sukhorukova Yu., Schultz V., Gontarenko N., Kolchin A., Velitskaya D. and the teachers Semenova Ye.I, Rybalova Ye.V. The student of Zaporozhye Musical College named after P. Mayboroda Polulyach A. acquainted the visitors of the exhibition with the history of classic music.
“The origins of music”
On 29 May 2010, there took place a concert of classical music named «The origins of music». The sounds of everlasting music pieces performed by the students and teachers of Music school # 6 filled the arches of Museum-Gallery on that day. «The power of emotional impact made by music and art may only be compared to a huge wave that captures you and takes you out to a wonderful far-away world,» — O.V.Rybalova, a teacher of Music school # 6, said about the concert that her students performed.
